About IndoFighter

Is IndoFighter a government or private company?

IndoFighter Corporation is a publicly listed company on NSE and BSE. The Government of India holds a 26% strategic stake through DIPAM; the remaining shares are held by institutional investors, mutual funds and the public.

Where are IndoFighter aircraft manufactured?

Final assembly of the Vajra takes place at our Nasik facility. The Saras family is assembled at Bengaluru (Kempegowda Industrial Area). Composite structures are manufactured at Kanpur; avionics integration at Hyderabad.

How does the Vajra compare to the Rafale?

The Vajra is a full fifth-generation platform with stealth shaping, internal weapons carriage, and supercruise — capabilities the Rafale does not possess. Both are twin-engine multirole fighters with excellent sensors and weapons diversity; the Vajra takes the next developmental step into reduced observable design.

Can the Vajra operate from aircraft carriers?

Yes. The Vajra NV (Naval Variant) is fully carrier-capable with a ski-jump optimised flight control mode, folding wingtips, an arrested-landing hook, and corrosion-resistant coatings. Six Vajra NVs are currently serving with INAS 300 'White Tigers' aboard INS Vikrant.

Civil — Saras

Are Saras aircraft DGCA certified?

All production Saras aircraft carry full DGCA type certification. The Saras 900LX also holds EASA validation, clearing it for operations throughout Europe.
