The Shakti Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle is a stealthy, high-performance autonomous system designed to operate alongside the Vajra in contested airspace, multiplying the combat power of manned formations while keeping human pilots out of harm's way.
The Shakti programme was launched in 2015 under DRDO's Combat Air Teaming Vehicle (CATV) project and transferred to IndoFighter Corporation for full-scale development in 2019. The Shakti demonstrator first flew in November 2021. The production variant entered low-rate initial production in 2024.
