Vajra — Demonstrate and Interact
The Vajra's export success and international partnerships demonstrate India's arrival as a top-tier aerospace exporter.
The Vajra has attracted significant international interest since its public debut at Aero India 2023. With a combination of fifth-generation technology, competitive lifecycle cost, and India's political relationships with a broad range of nations, the Vajra is positioned as the most credible non-Western combat aircraft export offering of this decade.
IndoFighter has signed a letter of intent for 36 Vajra Mk1 aircraft with one South-East Asian air force and is in active discussions with defence ministries in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa. The Government of India supports these efforts through government-to-government defence frameworks and financing arrangements through India's Exim Bank.
For strategic partner nations, IndoFighter offers substantial technology transfer, including manufacturing licences for airframe sections and local final assembly. This approach was pioneered in the Tejas export programme and has been further developed for the Vajra.
The Vajra has performed flying displays at Aero India (Bengaluru), Dubai Airshow, Paris Air Show and DSEI. The aircraft's agility routine — developed by IndoFighter's display team in conjunction with IAF display pilots — regularly draws the largest airshow crowds.
