Saras Philosophy

The Saras philosophy is built on three commitments: aerodynamic efficiency that translates into lower fuel burn and operating cost; cabin excellence that makes the journey a pleasure; and engineering reliability that gives owners and operators complete confidence.

IndoFighter's Civil Division was established in 2005 following the success of the government-funded Saras Light Transport Aircraft programme. Recognising the opportunity to serve India's fast-growing executive aviation market with a domestically designed and built product, the Corporation invested ₹1,200 crore to develop the first Saras 450 business jet, which entered service in 2012.
